English2EnglishIMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSIMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSRead all of the instructions before using this appliance. When using this appliance, alwaysexercise basic safety precautions, including the following:1) Save these instructions- The safety and operation instructions should be retained for futurereference.2) All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be followed.3) Cleaning- Unplug TV from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners oraerosol cleaners.Use only a damp cloth for cleaning.Exceptions: Some products aredesigned for uninterrupted service, eg. Cable TV converters, Unplugging such accessoriesmay result in loss of authorization codes. In such cases, please follow instructions orunplugging such devices as provided by the accessories manufacturer.4)Attachments-Do not use attachments not recommended by the TV manufacturer as theymay cause hazards.5) Water and moisture-Do not place this TV near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.6)Accessories - Do not place this TV on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table. TheTV may fall causing serious injury to someone, and serious damage to the appliance. Useonly with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer`s, orsold with the TV. Any mounting of the appliance should follow the manufacturer`s instructionsand should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. An applianceand cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and unevensurface may cause the appliance and Cart combination to overturn.7) Ventilation - Slots and openings in the cabinet and the back or bottom are provided forventilation and to ensure overheating. These openings must not be locked in an built ininstallation such a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or themanufacturer instructions have been adhered to.8)Power sources - This TV should be operated only from the type of power sources indicatedon the electrical nameplate. If you are not sure of the type of the power supply to your home,consult your appliance dealer or local power company. For TV`s intended to operate frombattery power or other source, refer to the operation instructions.9)Grounding or polarization - This TV is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug(a plug having one blade wider than the other is). This plug will fit into the power outlet onlyone way. This is safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, tryreversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace youroutlet. Don`t defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.10)Power cord protection - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely tobe walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attentionto cords or Plugs, convenience receptacle, and the point where they exit from theappliance.11) Out antenna grounding - If an outside antennaor cable system is grounded so as to provide someprotection against voltage surges and built up staticcharges. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code,ANSI/NEPA NO.70,provided information with respectto proper grounding of the mast and supportingstructure, grounding of the lead in wire to antennadischarge unit, size of grounding conductors, locationof antenna discharge unit, connection to groundingelectrodes, and requirement for the grounding electrode. (Fig. A)12)Lightning precaution - For added protection for this TVreceiver during a Lightning storm or when it is left unattendedfor long period of time, unplug it from the wall outlet anddisconnect the antenna or cable system. This will preventdamage to the TV due to lighting and Power line surges. |
