When using this appliance, always exercisebasic safety precautions, including the following:1) Save these instructions- The safety and operation instructions should be retained for futurereference.2) All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be followed.3) Cleaning- Unplug TV from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosolcleaners.Use only a damp cloth for cleaning.Exceptions: Some products are designed for uninterrupted service, eg. Cable TV converters,unplugging such accessories may result in loss of authorization codes. In such cases, please followinstructions for unplugging such devices as provided by the accessories manufacturer.4)Attachments-Do not use attachments not recommended by the TV manufacturer as they may causehazards.5) Water and moisture-Do not place this TV near water, for example, near a bathtub, wash bowl,kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.6)Accessories - Do not place this TV on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table. The TV mayfall causing serious injury to someone, and serious damage to the appliance. Use only with a cart,stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer`s, or sold with the TV. Anymounting of the appliance should follow the manufacturer`s instructions and should use amounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. An appliance and cart combination shouldbe moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surface may cause the appliance andCart combination to overturn.7) Ventilation - Slots and openings in the cabinet and the back or bottom are provided for ventilationand to ensure overheating. These openings must not be locked in an built in installation such abookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer instructions have beenadhered to.8)Power sources - This TV should be operated only from the type of power sources indicated on theelectrical nameplate. If you are not sure of the type of the power supply to your home, consult yourappliance dealer or local power company. For TV`s intended to operate from battery power or othersource, refer to the operation instructions.9)Grounding or polarization - This TV is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug (aplug having one blade wider than the other is). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way.This is safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. Ifthe plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your outlet. Don`t defeat the safetypurpose of the polarized plug.10)Power cord protection - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to bewalked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords orPlugs, convenience receptacle, and the point where they exit from the appliance.11) Out antenna grounding - If an outsideantenna or cable system is grounded so as toprovide some protection against voltage surgesand built up static charges. Article 810 of theNational Electrical Code, ANSI/NEPA NO.70,provided information with respect to propergrounding of the mast and supporting structure,grounding of the lead in wire to antennadischarge unit, size of grounding conductors,location of antenna discharge unit, connectionto grounding electrodes, and requirement forthe grounding electrode.
