87.4 PresetsYou can save up to 30 of your favourite stations for quickand direct access.7.4.1 Assigning the list of presets (1-30)• Set the station that you would like to save to a presetsmemory slot.• If the station is playing, press and hold [ ] (2) forapprox. 3 seconds until the Presets list opens up.• Navigate to the preferred memory slot and confirm yourselection by pressing [NAVIGATE/ENTER].• The selection will be confirmed by the display showing"Program (1-30, depending on the memory slot) saved".NotePresets cannot be deleted. If all 30 station memory slotsare filled and you wish to save a new station, chooseone of the occupied slots. The station in this slot will beoverwritten with the new station.7.4.2 Calling up a station from the Presets list (1-30)• Press [ ] to call up the Presets list.• Use [NAVIGATE/ENTER] to navigate to the preferredstation and confirm your selection by pressing[NAVIGATE/ENTER].7.5 DRC (Volume adjustment)Some DAB network radio stations support a volume controlfeature that actively takes effect during playback. If thevolume suddenly increases, DRC automatically lowers it. Ifthe volume suddenly becomes quieter, DRC automaticallyraises it. The same happens when playback is suddenlyquiet. The radio then increases the volume again.Volume adjustment high: total equalisation of differentvolumes. Strong compression can audibly reduce thedynamics of a music title.Volume adjustment low: partial equalisation of differentvolumes. More subtle compression, without too much lossof dynamics.Volume adjustment off: no equalisationProceed as follows to do the settings:• Press [ ] (4) to access the Settings menu.• Use [NAVIGATE/ENTER] (9) to navigate to the "Volumeadjustment" menu item.• Confirm the selection by pressing [NAVIGATE/ENTER]and choose your preferred setting.8. FMFrom the main menu or after pressing [ ] repeatedly,activate operating mode FM (FM Radio) on the radio.Stations that broadcast additional information regardingthe station and the programme, are highlighted on thedisplay with an RDS icon (Radio Data System).This additional information is displayed by pressing [ ].8.1 Search settingThe search setting allows you to determine whetherstations with low signal strength are ignored during theautomatic search. Proceed as follows:• Press [ ] (4) to access the Settings menu.• Use [NAVIGATE/ENTER] (9) to navigate to the "Scansettings" menu item.• Confirm the selection by pressing [NAVIGATE/ENTER].• To have the search run stop only at stations with highsignal strength, select Available stations only.Otherwise, the search run will stop at every station forwhich a signal is received.NoteBy default, the "All stations" method is selected.
