9Care and Cleaning• After disassembling the unit (seepage 8), all removable parts maybe washed in hot, soapy water.• All plastic parts of the juice extractorcan be placed in the bottom or toprack of the dishwasher. Do not placethe motor base in the dishwasher.Some part distortion may occur ifyour household dishwasher’stemperature is higher than normalor if the parts are placed too closeto the heating element.• Wipe the motor base with a dampcloth.• Discoloration of the plastic may occurwith some fruit and vegetables. Tohelp prevent this, wash all partsimmediately after use.NOTE:• To assist with cleaning, soak thestrainer basket in hot, soapy waterfor approximately 10 minutesimmediately after juicing is completed.If pulp is left to dry on the basket itmay clog the fine pores of the filtermesh, thereby lessening the effective-ness of the juice extractor.Laceration Hazard.The center of the strainer basketcontains small, sharp blades toprocess fruits and vegetables duringthe juicing function.Do not touch blades when handlingthe strainer basket.• The cleaning brush included with theunit is the most effective way to cleanthe strainer basket. Using the brush,hold the strainer basket underrunning water and brush inside andoutside of the basket.
