10Care and Cleaning• After disassembling the unit (seepages 8 and 9) all removable partsmay be washed in hot, soapy water.• All plastic parts of the Juice Fountain™can be placed in the bottom or toprack of the dishwasher. Do not placeStainless Steel Filter Basket or MotorBase in the dishwasher.• Wipe the Motor Base with a dampcloth.WARNING: To reduce the risk ofelectric shock do notimmerse the MotorBase in water or anyother liquid.• Discoloration of the plastic may occurwith some fruit and vegetables. Tohelp prevent this, wash all partsimmediately after use.CAUTION: The center of the FilterBasket contains small,sharp blades to processfruits and vegetablesduring the juicingfunction. Do not touchblades when handlingthe Filter Basket.NOTES:• To assist with cleaning, soak theStainless Steel Filter Basket in hot,soapy water for approximately 10minutes immediately after juicing iscompleted. If pulp is left to dry on thefilter it may clog the fine pores of thefilter mesh thereby lessening theeffectiveness of the Juice Fountain™.• For your convenience, a nyloncleaning brush has been includedwith your Juice Fountain™.• A nylon brush is the most effectivewhen cleaning the Filter Basket.Using a nylon brush, hold the FilterBasket under running water andbrush from the inside of the basketout. Always treat the Filter Basketwith care; it can be easily damaged.
