Remove con-taminants as quickly as possible.■ Only use soft cloths.Checking and cleaning thedoor sealsThe door seals must be checked regularly sothat no air can enter the appliance.1. To test them, clamp a thin piece of paperin various places. The paper should bedifficult to pull through at all points.2. If the seal is not uniform everywhere:Warm the seal in the appropriate placesin front of you with a hair dryer and pull itout with your fingers.3. Only clean dirty seals with clean water.Clean exterior– Painted surfaces:Use only light pH-neutral soapy water.– Stainless steel surfaces:Use special stainless steel cleaner from aspecialist shop. Never use polish.Cleaning the reverse side• Use a soft brush to carefully brush the re-verse side of the appliance and the com-pressor once or twice a year.DefrostingYour fridge-freezer’s fridge compartmentis equipped with an air-cycle system. Con-densation, frost and ice are automatically re-moved.The no-frost system ensures that no ice canform in the freezer compartment. Defrostingis therefore not required.
