This isdue to the specifications for Dolby Digital pro-cessing, which require that the Dolby Pro Logic IImode apply any time a 2-channel Dolby signalis detected. If you desire 5.1-channel audio,check the audio settings in the menus for bothyour DVD player and your DVD disc to makesure that a 5.1-channel Dolby Digital soundtrack is available and has been selected.E Dolby 3 Stereo Indicator: This indicatorlights when the Dolby 3 Stereo mode has beenselected.F Main Information Display: This displayshows messages relating to the status, inputsource, surround mode, tuner, volume level orother aspects of the AVR 120’s operation.G DSP Mode Indicator: This indicator lightswhen any of the surround modes created byDigital Signal Processing, or DSP are in use.These modes include Hall 1, Hall 2, Theater and5-Channel Stereo.H VMAx Mode Indicators: This indicatorlights when the VMAx mode is in use. VMAx Fappears when the Far Field VMAx mode isselected; VMAx N appears when the NearField VMAx mode is selected. (See page 22 fora description of the VMAx modes.)I Logic 7 Mode Indicators: These indica-tors light when the Logic 7 mode is in use.LOGIC 7C appears for the Cinema versionof Logic 7; LOGIC 7M appears for theMusic version of Logic 7. (See page 22 for adescription of the Logic 7 modes.)J Preset Number/Sleep Timer: When thetuner is in use, these numbers indicate the spe-cific preset memory location in use. (See page26 for more information on preset stations.)When the Sleep function is in use, these num-bers show how many minutes remain beforethe unit goes into the Standby mode.K Night Mode Indicator: This indicatorlights when the AVR 120 is in the Night mode,which preserves the dynamic range of digitalprogram material at low volume levels.L Speaker/Channel Input Indicators: Theseindicators are multipurpose, indicating either thespeaker type selected for each channel or theincoming data-signal configuration. The left,center, right, right surround and left surroundspeaker indicators are composed of three boxes,while the subwoofer is a single box. The centerbox lights when a “small” speaker is selected,and the two outer boxes light when “large”speakers are selected. When none of the boxesare lit for the center, surround or subwooferchannels, no speaker has been assigned to oneof those positions. (See page 17 for more infor-mation on configuring speakers.) The lettersinside each of the center boxes display activeinput channels. For standard analog inputs, onlythe L and R will light, indicating a stereo input.When a digital source is playing, the indicatorswill light to display the channels being receivedat the digital input. When the letters flash, thedigital input has been interrupted. (See pages18–19 for more information on the ChannelIndicators.)M Preset Indicator: This indicator lightswhen the tuner is in use to show that thePreset Number/Sleep Timer J is showingthe station’s preset memory number. (See page26 for more information on tuner presets.)N Sleep Indicator: This indicator lights whenthe Sleep function is in use. The numbers in thePreset Number/Sleep Timer Indicators will showthe minutes remaining before the AVR 120goes into the Standby mode. (See page 21 formore information on the Sleep function.)
