LearningIf you have programmed a product’s codes into the remote and find thatsome functions are missing, the AVR 3550HD remote may “learn” indi-vidual codes if you have the product’s original remote. See page 31 forinstructions on learning remote codes.Resetting the RemoteTo reset the remote to its factory defaults, simultaneously press andhold the TV Source Selector and the “0” Alphanumeric Key. When theTV Button re-lights, enter the code “333”. When the TV Button goesout, and all of the Source Selectors flash, the remote will have beenfully reset.Processor ResetThere may be instances when you wish to fully reset the AVR 3550HD toits factory defaults, or the unit may behave erratically after a power surge.To correct erratic behavior, first try turning the Master Power Switch offand unplugging the AC power cord for at least three minutes. Plug thecord back in and turn the receiver back on. If this doesn’t help, try asystem reset.NOTES:• A system reset erases all user configurations, including videoresolution, speaker and level settings, and tuner presets. Aftera reset, you will need to reenter all of these settings.• The RS-232 Reset Button on the rear panel of the AVR3550HD does not perform a system reset. DO NOT pressthe RS-232 Reset Button.To reset the AVR 3550HD, place the receiver in Standby mode (pressthe front-panel Standby/On Switch so that the Power Indicator turnsamber).
