30 PROGRAMMED PLAY WITH CDPROGRAMMED PLAY WITH CDProgram PlayProgrammed play allows you to select any track froma CD for playback in a specific order. This type of pro-gramming is particularly useful for parties or other situ-ations where you want continuous playback of specificselections for a long period of time. To program thedisc in the DVD 101 for playback, follow these steps:Program Edit1. In Stop or Resume mode, press the Prog Button on the remote. The Program Edit Display willappear.• If there is no programmed Track on the Playlist, theabove Display appears when you press the ProgButton . The number below the TRACK iconindicates the number of tracks on the disc.2. Select a specific track by pressing the K or LNavigation Button 9. Then press the EnterButton 9 twice. You can also select a trackdirectly by entering its number with the NumericKeys . Then press the Enter Button 9 toadd the selected track to the Playlist.3. You can select a maximum of 50 tracks byrepeating Step 2.4. When you have completed program editing, selectthe PLAY icon and then press the Enter Button9 or Play Button G on the remote to startprogram play. If you do not wish to play the pro-gram immediately, select DONE, then press theEnter Button 9 followed by the Play ButtonG to resume normal playback.• To listen to a previously edited program during nor-mal disc playback, press the Prog Button . Theprogram will play and the PROG Indicator L inthe front display will light.Delete Program1. To delete any programmed track while the ProgramEdit Display is on the screen, press the N or MNavigation Button 9 on the remote to movethe cursor (highlight) to the Playlist.2. Press the K or L Navigation Button 9 toselect the track to be deleted. When it is selectedpress the Enter Button 9; the selected track willbe deleted. The next value in the list will replace thedeleted one and will be selected automatically.• The program can be deleted completely by movingthe cursor to the top of the Playlist, and pressing theEnter Button 9 for each value programmed orby turning the unit off completely (by the Main PowerOn/Off Button ) or opening the tray (see “CancelProgram Play”).Insert TracksInserting tracks is possible only if tracks are alreadyprogrammed on the Playlist and will change the orderof playback.1. Press the Prog Button on the remote to inserta track; Program Edit Display appears.2. Move cursor to PLAYLIST and press the K or LNavigation Button 9 on the remote to selectlocation where you want to insert a track. It will beinserted above the location selected.3. Move the cursor to the TRACK icon and select andadd the track to be inserted as described in“Program Edit” above. The location where any newselections will be inserted remains highlighted by agray background.• When you finish adding values to the Playlist andwant to return to normal play mode, select DONEand press the Enter Button 9 on the remote.Cancel Program PlayProgram Play will be canceled by following oneof these steps:1. The complete program will be deleted whenyou open the tray.2. The complete program will be deleted when youturn power off completely (using the Main PowerOn/Off Button ).3. Press the Stop Button 5I twice while in playmode. Then the PROG Indicator L will disappearfrom the display and the player will stop and returnto normal mode. The program will remain inmemory and can be recalled by pressing theProg Button .4. To cancel Program play while a program is playingand return to normal play, press the Prog Button. The PROG Indicator L in the front display willturn off and the unit will turn to normal play mode.Checking the Program WithoutOn-Screen DisplayTo check the contents of a Playlist using the Front-Panel Information Display only rather than the on-screen display, follow these steps:1. Activate the Program Play mode, if it’s not activatedalready, so that the PROG Indicator L in thefront-panel display lights. Then press the StopButton 5I once (Resume mode).2. Press the Check Button . The first tracknumber programmed will be displayed.3. Press the Check Button again to stepthrough each of the programmed tracks. Theprogram location number will appear on the farright side of the front display and the tracknumber will appear on the left side.
