Chapter 3: Basic Operations 29Controlling the status flagThe status flag displays on your desktop and shows the name or eID numberof the selected server or the status of the selected port. Use the Flag dialog boxto configure the flag to display by server name or eID number, or to change theflag color, opacity, display time and location on the desktop.OSCAR Status FlagsFlag DescriptionFlag type by nameFlag type by eID numberFlag indicating that the user has been disconnected from all systemsFlag indicating that Broadcast mode is enabledTo access the Flag dialog box:1. Select Name or eID to determine what information will be displayed.2. Select Displayed to show the flag all the time or select Timed to displaythe fl ag for only five seconds after switching.3. Select a flag color in Display Color.4. In Display mode, select Opaque for a solid color flag or select Transparentto see the desktop through the flag.5. To position the status flag on the desktop:a.
