POST and SMI error messagesBIOS can log two types of error messages in the BMC log and the system-error log:POST events, which occur during system startup, and SMI events, which aregenerally run time errors detected by hardware. The following table describes thepossible POST and SMI error messages and suggested actions to correct thedetected problems.v Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problemis solved.v See Chapter 3, “Parts listing, Type 8863, 7362,” on page 107 to determine which components are customerreplaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units (FRU).v If an action step is preceded by “(Trained service technician only),” that step must be performed only by atrained service technician.Error message ActionPOST reporting Processor Event: Invalidconfiguration of processor card.
