IBM System x3650 M4 BD Product Guide 13Internal storageThe x3650 M4 BD server supports the following internal storage configurations:Twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive baysFourteen 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive baysStandard models ship with twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive bays, and they can also beupgraded to fourteen 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bay models with the optional rear drive backplane (rear cageassembly comes standard with the server).
