IBM System x3650 M4 BD Product Guide 13Internal storageThe x3650 M4 BD server supports the following internal storage configurations:Twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive baysFourteen 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive baysStandard models ship with twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive bays, and they can also beupgraded to fourteen 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bay models with the optional rear drive backplane (rear cageassembly comes standard with the server). The following table shows the internal storage expansionoptions that are available.Table 7. In addition, x3650 M4 BD supports bootingfrom the rear drives in the configurations with the H1110 controller.
