23IMPORTANT: The calorie goal shown in theworkout description is an estimate of thenumber of calories that you will burn duringthe workout. The actual number of calories thatyou burn will depend on various factors, suchas your weight. In addition, if you manuallychange the resistance level during the work-out, the number of calories you burn will beaffected.If the active pulse feature is enabled, the con-sole will scale the intensity level of the workoutautomatically based on your heart rate when youwear a compatible heart rate monitor (see step 6).To enable the active pulse feature, see HOW TOCHANGE CONSOLE SETTINGS on page 27.To follow your progress with the display modes,see step 4 on page 20.To pause the workout, touch the screen and touchthe pause option or simply stop pedaling. To con-tinue the workout, touch the start option or simplyresume pedaling.To end the workout session, touch the screen,touch the pause option, and then follow theprompts on the screen to end the workout andreturn to the home screen.When the workout ends, a workout summary willappear on the screen. If desired, you can selectoptions such as adding the workout to your sched-ule (see HOW TO USE AN IFIT WORKOUT onpage 25) or adding the workout to your favor-ites list. Then, touch Finish to return to the homescreen.5. Wear headphones if desired.To connect your headphones to the console, firstturn on your headphones, place them in pairingmode, and place them near the console. Then,touch the screen in any open space, touch theoption to connect your headphones, and selectyour headphones from the list on the screen.When your headphones and the console pairsuccessfully, the audio from the console will playthrough your headphones.6.
