The coil installation instructionsmust be consulted for proper coil location and installationprocedures. With a parallel flow arrangement, dampers must beinstalled to prevent chilled air from entering the furnace. If manual-ly operated dampers are used, they must be equipped with ameans to prevent operation of either unit unless the damper is infull heat or full cool position.Copper or plastic tubing may be used for the condensate drain line.12. Checks and AdjustmentsStartupNOTE: Refer to startup procedures in the Users InformationManual.!ELECTRICAL SHOCK, FIRE, OR EXPLOSIONHAZARD.Failure to follow safety warnings exactly couldresult in serious injury, death, and/or propertydamage.If any sparks, odors or unusual noises occur,immediately shut OFF gas and power to furnace.Check for wiring errors or obstruction to blower.WARNINGGas Supply PressureGas supply pressure should be within minimum and maximum val-ues listed on rating plate. Pressures are usually set by gas suppli-ers.(See LP Gas Conversion Kit instruction manual for furnaces con-verted to LP gas.)Manifold Gas Pressure AdjustmentNOTE: Make adjustment to manifold pressure with burners oper-ating.!FIRE OR EXPLOSION HAZARD.Failure to turn OFF gas at shut off before connectingmanometer could result in death and/or personalinjury.Turn OFF gas at shut off before connectingmanometer.WARNING1. With gas OFF, connect manometer to manifold pressure tapon outlet of gas control valve. See Figure 34.
