This chapter describeshow to access the BIOS setup program and the configuration options that may be changed.3.1.1 Starting SetupThe AMI BIOS is activated when the computer is turned on. The setup program can beactivated in one of two ways.1. Press the D ELETE key as soon as the system is turned on or2. Press the D ELETE key when the “Press Del to enter SETUP”message appears on the screen.If the message disappears before the D ELETE key is pressed, restart the computer and tryagain.3.1.2 Using SetupUse the arrow keys to highlight items, press ENTER to select, use the PageUp andPageDown keys to change entries, press F1 for help and press ESC to quit.
