AFL3-12C-ULT3 Panel PCPage 163.1 Anti-static PrecautionsWARNING:Failure to take ESD precautions during the maintenance of theAFL3-12C-ULT3 may result in permanent damage to theAFL3-12C-ULT3 and severe injury to the user.Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can cause serious damage to electronic components, including the AFL3-12C-ULT3. Dry climates are especially susceptible to ESD. It istherefore critical that whenever the AFL3-12C-ULT3 is accessed internally, or any otherelectrical component is handled, the following anti-static precautions are strictly adheredto. Wear an anti-static wristband: Wearing a simple anti-static wristband canhelp to prevent ESD from damaging the board. Self-grounding: Before handling the board, touch any grounded conductingmaterial. During the time the board is handled, frequently touch anyconducting materials that are connected to the ground. Use an anti-static pad: When configuring the AFL3-12C-ULT3, place it on ananti-static pad. This reduces the possibility of ESD damaging theAFL3-12C-ULT3. Only handle the edges of the PCB: When handling the PCB, hold the PCBby the edges.3.2 Installation PrecautionsWhen installing the flat bezel panel PC, please follow the precautions listed below: Power turned off: When installing the flat bezel panel PC, make sure thepower is off. Failing to turn off the power may cause severe injury to the bodyand/or damage to the system. Certified Engineers: Only certified engineers should install and modifyonboard functionalities.
