9Maintenance and cleaningClean the capillary boring of the venting flask from time to time through expansionwith a decomposition vessel filled with pure oxygenfilled without a gas washingbottle attached.Check the condition of the sealing washer on the filling flask and replace it ifnecessary.Flask replacement / removing the pressure spring: The venting head is disassembledby loosening the three countersunk screws located on it. The flask can then becompletely removed.Only use cleansing agents which have been recommended by IKA®.Use to remove:Dyes Isopropyl alcoholConstruction materials Water containing surfactant, Isopropyl alcoholCosmetics Water containing surfactant, Isopropyl alcoholFoodstuffs Water containing surfactantFuels Water containing surfactantDo not allow moisture to get into the appliance when cleaning.Wear protective gloves when cleaning the devices.Please consult with IKA® before using any cleaning or decontaminationmethods, other than those recommended here.Ordering spare partsWhen ordering spare parts, please give:Device typeserial number, see type plateItem number and designation of the spare part, see www.ika.com.RepairPlease send instrument in for repair only after it has been cleaned and isfree from any materials which may constitute a health hazard.For this you should request the “Decontamination Certificate” from IKA®, oruse the download printout of it from the IKA ® website www.ika.com.Fault tableError: Decomposition valve is not expanded.Cause: Flask capillary is deformed.Remedy: Replace flask.Error: Leakage on venting head when expanding.Cause: Sealing washer missing or defective.Remedy: Replace sealing.Error: Flask in venting head does not retract.Cause: Flask boring is dirty or the pressure spring is defective.Remedy: Clean or replace spring.Error: Leakage on throttle valveCause: Oring on throttle screw defective.Remedy: Replace Oring.WarrantyIn accordance with IKA® warranty conditions, the warranty period is 12 months.For claims under the warranty please contact your local dealer. You may alsosend the machine directly to our factory, enclosing the delivery invoice and givingreasons for the claim. You will be liable for freight costs.The warranty does not cover worn out parts, nor does it apply to faults resultingfrom improper use, insufficient care or maintenance not carried out in accordancewith the instructions in this operating manual.Return the instrument in its original packaging. Storage packaging is not sufficient. Also, please use suitable shipping package materials.
