13ENGLISHservice partner through its own serviceoperations, will then, at its sole discretion, eitherrepair the defective product or replace it with thesame or a comparable product.What is not covered under thisguarantee?• Normal wear and tear.• Deliberate or negligent damage, damagecaused by failure to observe operatinginstructions, incorrect installation or byconnection to the wrong voltage, damagecaused by chemical or electro-chemicalreaction, rust, corrosion or water damageincluding but not limited to damage causedby excessive lime in the water supply,damage caused by abnormal environmentalconditions.• Consumable parts including batteries andlamps.• Non-functional and decorative parts whichdo not affect normal use of the appliance,including any scratches and possible colordifferences.• Accidental damage caused by foreignobjects or substances and cleaning orunblocking of filters, drainage systems orsoap drawers.• Damage to the following parts: ceramic glass,accessories, crockery and cutlery baskets,feed and drainage pipes, seals, lampsand lamp covers, screens, knobs, casingsand parts of casings. Unless such damagescan be proved to have been caused byproduction faults.• Cases where no fault could be found duringa technician’s visit.• Repairs not carried out by our appointedservice providers and/or an authorizedservice contractual partner or where non-original parts have been used.• Repairs caused by installation which is faultyor not according to specification.• The use of the appliance in a non-domesticenvironment i.e. professional use.• Transportation damages. If a customertransports the product to their home or otheraddress, IKEA is not liable for any damagethat may occur during transport. However, ifIKEA delivers the product to the customer’sdelivery address, then damage to theproduct that occurs during this delivery will becovered by this guarantee.• Cost for carrying out the initial installationof the IKEA appliance. However, if an IKEAservice provider or its authorized servicepartner repairs or replaces the applianceunder the terms of this guarantee, the serviceprovider or its authorized service partner willre-install the repaired appliance or install thereplacement, if necessary.This restriction do not apply to fault-free workcarried out by a qualified specialist using ouroriginal parts in order to adapt the appliance tothe technical safety specifications of another EUcountry.How country law appliesThe IKEA guarantee gives You specific legal rights,which covers or exceed local demands.
