Instead it shall be handedover to the applicable collection pointfor the recycling of electrical andelectronic equipment. By ensuringthis product is disposed of correctly,you will help prevent potential nega-tive consequences for the environ-ment and human health, which couldotherwise be caused by inappropriatewaste handling of this product.How long is the IKEA guaranteevalid?This guarantee is valid for five (5) yearsfrom the original date of purchase ofYour appliance at IKEA. The originalsales receipt is required as proof ofpurchase. If service work is carried outunder guarantee, this will not extendthe guarantee period for the appliance.Who will execute the service?IKEA service provider will provide theservice through its own service op-erations or authorized service partnernetwork.What does this guarantee cover?The guarantee covers faults of the ap-pliance, which have been caused byfaulty construction or material faultsfrom the date of purchase from IKEA.This guarantee applies to domestic useonly. The exceptions are specified underthe headline “What is not covered underthis guarantee?” Within the guaranteeperiod, the costs to remedy the faultFor more detailed information aboutrecycling of this product, pleasecontact your local city office, yourhousehold waste disposal service orthe shop where you purchased theproduct.Packaging materialsThe materials with the symbol arerecyclable. Dispose the packaging insuitable collection containers to recycleit.e.g. repairs, parts, labour and travel willbe covered, provided that the applianceis accessible for repair without specialexpenditure. On these conditions the EUguidelines (Nr. 99/44/EG) and the re-spective local regulations are applicable.Replaced parts become the property ofIKEA.What will lKEA do to correct theproblem?IKEA appointed service provider willexamine the product and decide, at itssole discretion, if it is covered under thisguarantee. If considered covered, IKEAservice provider or its authorized servicepartner through its own service opera-tions, will then, at its sole discretion,either repair the defective product orreplace it with the same or a compara-ble product.What is not covered under thisguarantee?• Normal wear and tear.
