2 BASIC OPERATION2-3DReceivingWhen a call is received, the antenna icon is displayed�z Push [▲] or [▼] to adjust the audio output level to acomfortable listening level�DTransmittingz While holding down [PTT], speak at your normalvoice level�• The “ ” icon is displayed while [PTT] is helddown�[PTT]IMPORTANT:To maximize the readability of your signal:1� After pushing [PTT], pause briefly before youstart speaking�2� Hold the microphone 5 ~ 10 cm from your mouth,then speak at your normal voice level�Receiving and transmittingDTransmitting notesTransmit inhibit functionThe transceiver has several inhibit functions whichrestrict transmission under the following conditions:• The channel is busy� However, depending on thepresetting, you can transmit when a call is receivedthat includes a non-matching (or matching) CTCSS(DTCS)�• The selected channel is a ‘receive only’ channel�Time-Out TimerIf continuous transmission exceeds the presetTime-Out Timer time, the transmission is cut off�Penalty timerAfter the Time-Out Timer cuts off the transmission, thetransmission is further inhibited for a preset penaltyperiod of time�FELLECS-TECH | inbox@fellecs-tech.com | www.fellecs-tech.com
