Refer to Frame 1If a programmer is fitted, refer to separate instructions for theprogrammer before continuing.1. CHECK THAT THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY TO THE BOILERIS OFF.2. Open the controls access door by hinging downwards.3. Ensure that the gas inlet cock (D) is OPEN.4. Press the overheat reset button (E), located as shown inFrame 1.5. Ensure that the mains on/off switch (C) is in the OFF position.6. Switch ON the electricity supply to the boiler. Check that allexternal controls, e.g. room thermostat etc., are ON.7. Turn the boiler thermostat knob (B) to position 6 and themains on/off switch (C) to ON. After about 15 seconds theboiler will light automatically - this can be viewed through thesight glass (A).Set the boiler thermostat to the desired position.8. Close the controls access door.Classic FF (Natural Gas Models Only)IntroductionIt is essential that the instructions in this booklet arestrictly followed, for safe and economic operation ofthe boiler.Current Gas Safety (Installation &Use) Regulations or rules in force.In your own interest, and that of safety, it is the law that thisboiler must be installed by a CORGI registered installer or in IEa competent person, in accordance with the above regulations.Electricity SupplyThis appliance must be efficiently earthed.Supply: 230 V ~ 50 Hz. The fusing should be 3A.Connection must be made in a way that allows completeisolation of the electrical supply such as a double pole switchhaving a 3mm (1/8") contact separation in both poles, or aplug and socket, serving only the boiler and system controls.The means of isolation must be accessible to the user afterinstallation.Important notesa. This appliance must not be operated without the casingcorrectly fitted and forming an adequate seal.b. If the boiler is installed in a compartment then the compartmentMUST NOT be used for storage purposes.c. The ventilation provided for the boiler during installation MUSTNOT be blocked, and a check should be made periodicallythat the ventilation areas are free from any obstruction.d. If it is known or suspected that a fault exists on the boiler thenit MUST NOT be used until the fault has been corrected by aCORGI registered installer or in IE a competent person.e. Flammable materials must not be placed in close proximityto the appliance. Materials giving off flammable vapours mustnot be stored in the same room as the appliance.f.Where the boiler is fitted with a Vertex flue system with adraught diverter in the loft the loft space MUST NOT be usedas a dwelling area.g.
