EnglishTROUBLESHOOTINGIf there is no sound from anyof the speakers:• Check that receiver/ampli-fier is on and that a source isplaying.• Review proper operation ofyour receiver/amplifier.If there is no sound comingfrom one speaker:• Check the “Balance” controlon your receiver/amplifier.• Check all wires and connec-tions between receiver/ ampli-fier and speakers.• Make sure no wires aretouching other wires orterminals and creating a shortcircuit.• Make sure all wires are con-nected. Make sure none of thespeaker wires are frayed, cutor punctured.• In Dolby* Digital or DTS®modes, make sure that thereceiver/processor is config-ured so that the speaker inquestion is enabled.• Turn off all electronics andswitch the speaker in questionwith one of the other speakersthat is working correctly. Turneverything back on, and deter-mine whether the problem hasfollowed the speaker, or hasremained in the same channel.If the problem is in the samechannel, the source of theproblem is most likely withyour receiver or amplifier, andyou should consult theowner’s manual for that prod-uct for further information. Ifthe problem has followed thespeaker, consult your dealerfor further assistance or, if thatis not possible, visitwww.jbl.comfor further information.If the system plays at low vol-umes but shuts off as volumeis increased:• Check all wires and con-nections between receiver/amplifier and speakers.• Make sure all wires are con-nected. Make sure none of thespeaker wires are frayed, cutor punctured.• If more than one pair of mainspeakers is being used, checkthe minimum impedancerequirements of your receiver/amplifier.If there is no (or low) bassoutput:• Make sure the polarities(+ and –) of the left and right“Speaker Inputs” areconnected properly.• If your system includes apowered subwoofer, makesure it is connected correctly,plugged into an active AC out-let and turned on. See theowner's guide for your sub-woofer for more information.• If your system does notinclude a powered subwoofer,consider adding one for usewith digital “.1” surround for-mats.If there is no sound fromthe surround speakers:• Check all wires and connec-tions between receiver/ampli-fier and speakers. Make sureall wires are connected. Makesure none of the speakerwires are frayed, cut or punc-tured.• Review proper operation ofyour receiver/amplifier and itssurround sound features.• Make sure the movie or TVshow you are watching isrecorded in a surround soundmode.
