Do not defeat the safety purposeof the polarized or grounding-typeplug. A polarized plug has twoblades with one wider than theother. A grounding-type plug hastwo blades and a third groundingprong. The wide blade or the thirdprong are provided for your safety.If the provided plug does notfit into your outlet, consult anelectrician for replacement of theobsolete outlet.10. Protect the power cord frombeing walked on or pinched, par-ticularly at plugs, conveniencereceptacles and the point wherethey exit from the apparatus.11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by themanufacturer.12. Use only with the cart,stand, tripod, bracket ortable specified by themanufacturer or soldwith the apparatus.When a cart is used, use cautionwhen moving the cart/apparatuscombination to avoid injury fromtip-over.13. Unplug this apparatus duringlightning storms or when unusedfor long periods of time.14. Refer all servicing to qualifiedservice personnel. Servicing isrequired when the apparatus hasbeen damaged in any way, such aspower-supply cord or plug is dam-aged, liquid has been spilled orobjects have fallen into the appa-ratus, the apparatus has beenexposed to rain or moisture, doesnot operate normally, or has beendropped.15. Do not use attachments notrecommended by the productmanufacturer, as they may causehazards.16. This product should be oper-ated only from the type of powersource indicated on the markinglabel. If you are not sure of thetype of power supply to your home,consult your product dealer orlocal power company. For prod-ucts intended to operate from bat-tery power, or other sources, referto the operating instructions.17. If an outside antenna or cablesystem is connected to the prod-uct, be sure the antenna or cablesystem is grounded so as to pro-vide some protection against volt-age surges and built-up staticcharges. Article 810 of theNational Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information withregard to proper grounding of themast and supporting structure,grounding of the lead-in wire toan antenna discharge unit, size ofgrounding conductors, location ofantenna-discharge unit, connec-tion to grounding electrodes, andrequirements for the groundingelectrode. See Figure A.18. An outside antenna systemshould not be located in the vicin-ity of overhead power lines orother electric light or power cir-cuits, or where it can fall into suchpower lines or circuits. Wheninstalling an outside antenna sys-tem, extreme care should be takento keep from touching such powerlines or circuits, as contact withthem might be fatal.19. Do not overload wall outlets,extension cords, or integral con-venience receptacles, as this canresult in a risk of fire or electricshock.20. Never push objects of any kindinto this product through openings,as they may touch dangerous volt-age points or short-out parts thatcould result in a fire or electricshock. Never spill liquid of anykind on the product.21. Do not attempt to service thisproduct yourself, as opening orremoving covers may expose youto dangerous voltage or other haz-ards. Refer all servicing to quali-fied service personnel.22. When replacement parts arerequired, be sure the service tech-nician has used replacement partsspecified by the manufacturer orthat have the same characteristicsas the original part. Unauthorizedsubstitutions may result in fire,electric shock or other hazards.23. Upon completion of any serviceor repairs to this product, ask theservice technician to performsafety checks to determine thatthe product is in proper operatingcondition.24.
