Now, turn on your receiver/amplifier and select a musicsource such as a CD player,cassette deck or FM tuner.3. Turn up the volume controlslowly until you hear soundfrom the speakers.4. Rotate the balance controlall the way to the left. Soundshould come only from theleft speaker. If the soundcomes from the right speakerwith the balance control tothe left, the speaker wireshave been reversed duringhook-up. Turn the receiver/amplifier “off” and switchboth sets of speaker wires.Dolby Pro Logic*-equippeddevices (AV Receivers,Surround Sound processorsor decoders, TVs or othersources) include a “test tone”you can use to balance thevolume of all the speakers ina surround sound system.Refer to the instructionsaccompanying your compo-nent for selecting the testtone mode and using it tobalance speaker levels in yourhome theater.If there is no sound fromany of the speakers, checkthe following:• Receiver/amplifier is on anda source is playing.• Review proper operation ofyour receiver/amplifier.If there is no sound comingfrom one speaker, check thefollowing:• Check the “Balance” controlon your receiver/amplifier.• Check all wires and con-nections between receiver/amplifier and speakers.• Make sure all wires are con-nected.
