NEW CONSTRUCTIONPAINTING THE SPEAKERFRAME AND GRILLESoundPoint Series loud-speakers can be painted tomatch any décor. If you wishto change their color, the satinfinish on the grille and framewill function as a primer coat.Before painting, install thepaint shield (inner section oftemplate in the assembly kit)securely into the recess in thebaffle. This will protect thespeaker components and baf-fle from paint residue. Make sureall wires are connected. Makesure none of the speaker wiresare frayed, cut, punctured ortouching each other.• Review proper operation ofyour receiver/amplifier.IF THERE IS NOSOUND COMINGFROM ONE SPEAKER:• Check the “Balance” controlon your receiver/amplifier.• Check all wires and connec-tions between receiver/ampli-fier and speakers. Make sureall wires are connected. Makesure none of the speaker wiresare frayed, cut, punctured ortouching each other.IF THERE IS LOW (ORNO) BASS OUTPUT:• Make sure the connectionsto the left and right “SpeakerInputs” have the correct polar-ity (+ and –).• Consider adding a poweredsubwoofer to your system.• In Dolby Digital or DTS modes,make sure your receiver/processor is correctly config-ured. When using a subwoofer,make sure the subwooferoutput of the receiver/ proces-sor has been enabled. If nosubwoofer is being used,make sure the left and rightfront and rear speakers havebeen configured as “LARGE.”See your receiver/processor’sowner’s manual for futherinformation on correct speakerconfiguration in Dolby Digital,DTS and other surround soundmodes.IF THE SYSTEM PLAYSAT LOW VOLUMESBUT SHUTS OFFAS VOLUME ISINCREASED:• Check all wires and connec-tions between receiver/ampli-fier and speakers. Make sureall wires are connected.
