Twopowerful 15" VGC (Vented Gap CooledTM) LFtransducers provide powerful transient bass.The proven Optimized ApertureTM HF horncoupled to a 2447J, 1.5" exit compressiondriver delivers a precise, clear and controlledhigh frequency response.The SP225-9 is equipped with a passivecrossover that can be switched to bi-amplifieduse via an easily accessible internal tamperresistant selector. Bi-amplified mode, utilizingthe DSC260 digital controller for crossover,signal alignment, and equalization functions,provides optimum system performance.The SP225-9 is part of the JBL SoundPower Series, a family of modular loudspeakersystems designed for fixed installationapplications ranging from speech reinforcementto large scale music productions. All modelsare fitted with suspension points that acceptM10 threads. The enclosures are finished witha hard wearing, weather resistant, texturedfinish DuraFlex. The 15" 2226Hare part of JBL’s family of Vented Gap Cooledwoofers and carries an AES power rating of1200 watts with minimal power compression.The cone has been treated for weatherresistance.The 38 mm (1.5 in) exit 2447J large formatcompression driver is coupled to an OptimizedAperture Bi-Radial® horn providing smootheven coverage.
