30Setting the filtering cyclesTo set the filtering cycle: Press the key “Filter” . The display shows the messageFdx, where “x” indicates the duration in hours. Use the keys “Up” and/or “Down” to insert the de-sired duration. This may be from a minimum of 0 to a maximumof 12 hours, which corresponds to constant filtering, sincethe cycle runs every 12 hours in any case. Press the "Filter" key again to confirm the selected val-ue. You will then go to the start time (Fs). First set the hour and confirm with the "Filter" key. Then setthe minutes, and press the "Filter" key again to memorize theset values and exit programming.When the function is on, the display will shown the respectivesymbol.NOTE: if there is a power outage, the set values will be pre-served.Suspending the filtering cycles The filtering cycle may be suspended by the anti-freeze pro-tection (“Smart Winter”) or due to overheated water. Refer to therespective chapters. If the system is in standby mode (see related chapter), the fil-tering pump stops and is restarted when the system is no longerin standby mode. If there is a power outage during a filtering cycle, or if it oc-curs prior to the start of filtering and lasts after that time, the cy-cle will not start when the power comes back on. Filtering willbe postponed until the next cycle, since the cycle is repeatedevery 12 hours.Overheating during filtering cycles During the filtering cycle, if the water temperature exceedsthe setpoint by more than 1 °C (2 °F) (see the chapter on ad-justing the water heating temperature) and it does not decreaseat least 1 °C (2 °F) in the following 3 hours, the filtering cyclewill be suspended.Even if the water temperature is high (due to excessive sunlight,for example), filtering is however ensured for at least 3 hours.Clearray™ (UV light generator)Use of the Clearray ™ normally reduces the need for chemicalwater treatment additives and therefore also reduces costs. Clearray™ operates automatically and is dependent on pumpactivation; it remains off when the hydromassage, blower or evenjust the spotlight are on (as it is presumed that there is some-body in the tub); Clearray™ (where a filtering cycle is active)begins operating once again 10 minutes subsequent to switch-ing off the aforementioned functions.Rapid filtering (“Instant Clear”)This is recommended after intensive use of the spa and/or isassociated with chemical treatment of the water, to favour thedissolution of substances used for disinfection. To activate the function, press the key “Instant Clear” . Thedisplay will show the message boo. The function lasts 45 minutes (this value cannot be changed).During this time, the filtering pump and the hydromassage pumpsare turned on as follows:- hydromassage pump 2 is activated only one time for oneminute.- hydromassage pump 1 is activated for the rest of the cycle(Clearray™ is on for the entire duration of the cycle). If the heater is on, it will continue to run normally, unless thesystem is configured for limitation of electrical consumption. The function stops:- when the aforementioned time expires- when another function is turned on (except for the time and/orthe spotlight).- when the key is pressed again .NOTE: if you need to activate the anti-freeze protection dur-ing rapid filtering, rapid filtering will be temporarily suspend-ed to allow the anti-freeze protection to be started. ACTIVATION OF HYDROMASSAGE PUMPSThe hydromassage pumps are activated via the respective keys.Refer to the user's manual to determine which jets are activatedby each pump: Press the key “Pump 1” to activate that pump.Press the key “Pump 2” to activate another hydromassagepump. The pump (or pumps) will run for 20 minutes, but can be turnedoff before that by pressing the aforementioned keys again.NOTES- If the level of water in the compensation tanks is not correct,the pumps are prevented from starting to protect them (alsosee the chapter on checking operation and first start-up).- When the hydromassage is started, the filtering pump is al-so turned on, if it was not already. It will remain on for 10 min-utes after the hydromassage is turned off.
