30 PREPARING FOR USECAUTION The preliminary checks and any system adjust-ments must be performed by qualified autho-rised personnel, under their own responsibility.Instructions are provided in the second part ofthis manual. The user must appoint a qualified person able to manage andrun the system, in particular as regards the following operations: Filling the spa with water.Fill the spa so that the highest nozzles are covered (2,det.B). Verification of water quality, chemical control of pHand water sanitation. These checks must be performed frequently to guarantee long-term water quality, especially if the spa is used by several per-sons. Make sure that ALL the operations described in thesection “Operating instructions for the system user GeneralWarnings Initial Start- up” have been carried out.Turn on the system's main switch.WARNING Do not power the system if the spa is not filledwith water up to the normal filling level, as thismay damage the pumps. Failure to observe thiswarning will immediately invalidate the warran-ty. LIMITATION OF ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTIONIf there is not enough electrical energy and you decide to ac-tivate the consumption limiter, the system software must beconfigured for proper operation of the spa: Press and hold the “Light” key for about 12 seconds, un-til the message“cFn” appears. If necessary, use the “Up” and/or “Down” keys toscroll the menu until you see “cFn”. Press the “Light” key a-gain to confirm the option. Now insert the password 123 as follows:- use the “Up” and/or “Down” keys to insert the first number.- confirm the selection by pressing the “Light” key.Perform the same steps to insert the other two numbers. Once you have inserted the password, the display will showthe message I1x (parameter for temperature unit of measure.Press the “Light” key again to go to parameter I2x (where“x” may be 1 or 0; the factory setting is 1).NOTE: in some models, “x” may assume values within therange of 16 to 32 (amps) and may be modified according to2 amp intervals therefore allowing for the control of the oper-ating power; the factory setting is 32. Use the “Up” and/or “Down” keys to change "x" andthen confirm the selection with the “Light” * key. The display willshow the message I3 0. Press the “Light” key again to ex-it the procedure and memorize the new values. Make sure youdo not modify parameter I3 0. The display will go off for a mo-ment, and then it will come on again.- If no key is pressed for 20 seconds, you will exit the proce-dure and any changes made will not be saved.NOTES- When I2 is 0 (or 16, in some models), electrical consump-tion of the spa is limited to 16A. Under this condition you cansimultaneously turn on a hydromassage pump and the blow-er. When you turn on the other pump, the one in operation isshut off but the blower stays on.If the heater is on, turning on any load (pumps and/orblower) will disable the heater.- When parameter I2 is 1 (or 32, in some models), maximum elec-trical consumption is selected. Under this condition, it is possi-ble to turn on both the hydromassage pumps and the blower. If the heater is turned on, turning on the two hydromassagepumps (when available) and the blower may cause the heater tobe disabled. In any case, it is enabled 5 minutes after power con-sumption has reduced sufficiently to permit its use.- It is not advisable to activate the consumption limiter if the s-pa is installed where temperatures often drop below 0 °C becausethis limits the anti-freeze protection (see related chapter).- The setting of parameter l2 (setting which can be made at in-tervals of 2) allows for optimised management of electrical con-sumption. CONTROL PANEL AND FUNCTIONSFollow the instructions provided below to get familiar with using thecontrol panels. These include the main one ( 6) located near theskimmer, and the secondary one ( 7), on the opposite side. Thesecondary one only lets you start the pumps for the hydromassage, activate the air jets (blowers) and/or turn on the spotlight.Note: some models do not have the secondary com-mand/control panel, only the main one. When the system is powered on, the display shows the timealternating with the temperature in the tub.If the electric heater is operating, the corresponding symbol al-so appears: . SETTING THE TIMEFor correct management of water filtering and use of the energysavings mode, the current time must be set.
