Consultmanufacturers such as Z-Flex® or Heat Fab® to obtainapproved components. Venting materials must complywith UL® 1738 for Category III, Special Gas Vent.In Canada, the venting materials must be ULC S636compliant. In addition,always consult your local installation codes. Some localinstallation codes may have requirements that exceedthose of the the national codes. The product must beinstalled in accordance with the codes being enforced bythe local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).See Figure 9 for side wall vent terminations.IMPORTANT NOTE In the Commonwealth ofMassachusetts, additional requirements, covered indocument CMR 248 5.00, which supersede some ofthe requirements of ANSI Z223.1 (NFPA 54) apply toSide Wall Horizontally Vented appliances.
