Thepump housing, backplate, diffuser, hair and lint pot(pump debris filter basket), and impeller are all madefrom high quality thermoplastic materials. Thesematerials were chosen for their strength and corrosionresistance. The pump is driven by an electric motor directly attachedto the pump impeller. As the electric motor turns, itcauses the impeller to turn, which forces water to flowthrough the pump. The water flows through the pumpinlet and then into the filter basket. The basket assemblypre-strains/traps large particles. The water then enters thecenter of the pump housing, flows through the impellerinto the diffuser, and then flows out the pump dischargeport. At Least3 FeetSuction Outlet(Main Drain)Suction Outlet(Main Drain)No valves betweenTee and Main DrainsListed/certified to latestpublished version ofANSI/ASME A112.19.8Anti-entrapmentCover/Grate or SuctionFitting, screw-fastened toMain Drain SumpListed/certified to latestpublished version ofANSI/ASME A112.19.8Anti-entrapmentCover/Grate or SuctionFitting, screw-fastened toMain Drain SumpValves OK betweenpump and TeePumpFigure 1.
