Turn off the electrical power to the pump motorusing your controller. Switch off the circuitbreaker to the pump motor.WARNINGELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARDTurn off all switches and the main breaker inthe ePump electrical circuit before starting theprocedure. Wait five (5) minutes after power isdisconnected before opening motor. Do not proceeduntil the LED on top of the Drive Electronics iscompletely off. Failure to comply may cause a shockhazard, resulting in severe personal injury or death.NOTE For instructions on operating the controller, referto your controller manual: ePump ControllerOwner’s Manual, H0311200, AquaLink ® RSOwner’s Manual, 6593, or AquaLink ® PDAOwner’s Manual, H0572300.2. Remove the junction box lid and disconnectthe three (3) high voltage wires and the four (4)communication wires.3. Remove the four (4) screws and o-rings on themain cover and remove the main cover. SeeFigure 14.4. Unplug the three-wire harness from the board. SeeFigure 15.5. Remove the four (4) screws that secure theelectronics enclosure to the motor. See Figure 15.6. Remove the electronics enclosure and mountthe new electronics enclosure using the four (4)screws that secure it to the motor. See Figure 15.7. Plug the three-wire harness into the connector onthe board.8. Replace the main cover using the four (4)screwsthat secure it in place. See Figure 14.9. Reconnect the three (3) high voltage wires and thefour (4) communication wires.CAUTIONIMPORTANT! To prevent potential damage to theePump, AquaLink ® RS, or AquaLink ® PDA, set the dipswitches to the same settings used in the previousVariable Drive Electronics Unit.10. Set the dip switches to the same settings set in theprevious Variable Speed Drive Electronics Unit.See Section 3.3, ePump Dipswitch Settings.11.
