Installation of Appliance:Follow accompanying ducting instructions carefully. This appliance is designed to always bevented outdoors. Cutouts should be prepared according to the illustrations.The installation of this appliance must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes,with the latest edition ofthe National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI 2223.1. (In Canada, the current CAN/CGA-B149 Installation Code.}This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes or,in the absence of local codes, with the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPANo. 70. (In Canada, the current CSA Standard C22.1 Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1.)CONNECTING APPLIANCE TO ELECTRICITY13. Install ElectricalNOTE: Observe all focal electrical codes.« Locate the electric range receptacle in the floor or wall, any place in the shaded areawhich will clear the blower and is accessible from the front of the range.« Range Cord: Range cord is required, Obtain locally. Canadian units are equipped witha range cord. Install a corresponding receptacle.» A120/240 VAC or 120/208 VAC, 30 amp circuit is required. See front cover for propersupply connection.14. Connect Electrical (Three Conductor Wire)Remove the range electrical service cover, located on the back, lower left-hand corner.Install a 3/4” (1.91 cm) clamp in the hole provided below the terminal block,Strip 3" (7.62 cm) of outer insulation from the cable.Strip 1/2” (1.27 cm) of insulation from each wire.Pull the cable through the cable clamp. Attach the BLACK, RED, and WHITE wires (seeillustration.) Tighten the terminal block nuts and the cable clamp and install cover.« Plug the cord into its receptacle,15. Connect Electrical (Four Conductor Wire)eeertef* Remove the range electrical service cover, located on the back, lower teft-hand corner.*« Remove the ground strap screw and bend the strap up as shown.» Install a 3/4" (1.91 cm) cable clamp in the hole provided, below the terminal block.+ Strip 3" (7.62 cm) of outer insulation from the cable.¢ Strip 1/2” (1.27 em) of insulation from each wire,* Pull the cable through the cable clamp.« Make a loop in the bare ground wire and attach it to the range with the screw that heldthe ground strap.« Attach the BLACK, RED, and WHITE wires (see #16.) Tighten the terminal block nutsand the cable clamp.« Tape the ground strap to the WHITE wire as shown. Install electrical cover.« Plug the range cord into its receptacle.CONNECTING APPLIANCE TO GAS SUPPLYA TRAINED SERVICEMAN OR GAS APPLIANCE INSTALLER MUST MAKE THEGAS SUPPLY CONNECTION. Leak testing of the appliance shall be conductedby the installer according to the instructions given.16. Install Gas Shutoff ValveInstall a manual shutoff valve in an accessible location in the gas line externa! to thisappliance for the purpose of turning on or shutting off gas to the appliance.Make the gas connection to the inlet of the pressure regulator on this appliance with a 1/2*male pipe thread. Use an approved pipe joint compound resistant to the action of LP gas atpipe connections. Test all joints for gas leaks with a soap and water solution or otheraccepted leak detection means.
