MaintenanceGeneralGeneralGeneralGeneralGeneral1. After the first several hours of operation, turnoff the pump and tighten all hardware andfittings. Retighten as needed to preventleakage. Do not overtighten plastic fittings.2. Clean exterior of pump as needed with mildsoap liquid.3. Clean and inspect check valves and dia-phragms annually. The head must not bereinstalled upside down.5. Turn diaphragm counterclockwise to unscrew itfrom pump push rod. Note orientation ofdiaphragm support plate behind diaphragm.6. Install the support plate onto diaphragm. Installnew diaphragm by screwing it clock-wise intopump push rod.7. Clean inside of pump head, using appropriatecleaning fluid compatible with materials ofconstruction and metered chemical.8. Reinstall pump head, noting orientation ofcheck valves. Tighten head bolts evenly usingan alternating crisscross pattern.9.
