98.3 Grounding InstructionsThis machine must be grounded. In the event of amalfunction or breakdown, grounding provides apath of least resistance for electric current toreduce the risk of electric shock.Improper connection of the equipment-groundingconductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Theconductor with insulation having an outer surfacethat is green with or without yellow stripes, is theequipment-grounding conductor. If repair or replacement of the electric cord or plugis necessary, do not connect the equipment-grounding conductor to a live terminal.Check with a qualified electrician or servicepersonnel if the grounding instructions are notcompletely understood, or if in doubt as to whetherthe tool is properly grounded.Repair or replace a damaged or worn cordimmediately.Make sure the voltage of your power supplymatches the specifications on the motor plate ofthe Band Saw.For circuits which are far awayfrom the electrical service box, the wire sizemust be increased in order to deliver amplevoltage to the motor, to minimize power lossesand to prevent motor overheating and burnout.9.0 Coolant HeaterThe heater system helps maintain coolant flowduring operations in cold environments. Thepower/breaker switch has a light blue bar, and islocated in the control cabinet (Figure 1a).Set the coolant temperature using the dial at therear of the base under the blade motor (Figure 1b).Figure 1aFigure 1b
