Inspect contents for shipping damage. Reportdamage, if any, to your distributor.2. Compare contents of shipping carton with thecontents list in this manual. Report shortages,if any, to your distributor.7.2 Assembling the band sawRefer to Figures 2 through 5. If further clarificationis needed, refer to exploded views in sect.13.1. Install the tray and skirt to the two floor standswith the provided 5/16-18 x 1-1/4” screws,washers and hex nuts. Finger tighten only.Figure 22. Align holes in bracket and hydraulic cylindershaft, and secure with 3/8” x 1-1/4” sockethead cap screw (Figure 3).Figure 33. Use an assistant to help lift band saw ontostand, aligning the holes at the four cornerswith the holes in the stand. Make sure front ofband saw faces same direction as JET logo onstand. Install a 5/16 x 1-1/4 hex cap screw withtwo flat washers and a hex nut in each of theholes.4. Insert a 5/16” x 4” socket head cap screwthrough the hydraulic cylinder, and install ahex nut and washer on the threaded end, asshown in Figure 4. Insert threaded end intohole in base casting.
