8AssemblyTools required for assembly:5mm hex wrench (provided)Installing Support Table1. Tilt the Edge Bander up and attach thesupport table to the two holes at the rear ofthe Edge Bander, with two M6 x 10 sockethead cap screws and two M6 flat washers.See Figure 1. Tighten with the 5mm hexwrench.2. From below the support table, insert the M8x 100 hex cap screw up through the hole inthe center of the support table as shown inFigure 2. (The hex nut on the screw shouldbe below the support table.)3. Place the stud, with its threaded openingfacing down, over the hex cap screw andthread it down onto the hex cap screw. SeeFigure 2.4. Adjust the M8 x 100 screw until its headcontacts the surface of your table or bench. This enables the screw to act as a supportfor the support table.5. Secure the position of the M8 x 100 screwby tightening the hex nut up against thebottom of the support table.Grounding InstructionsMake sure the voltage of your power supplymatches the specifications on the label affixed tothe heat gun. The Edge Bander is designed torun on standard 120 volt “household” current.Extension CordsIf an extension cord is necessary, make sure thecord rating is suitable for the amperage listed onthe machine's motor plate. An undersize cordwill cause a drop in line voltage resulting in lossof power and overheating. The chart in Figure 3 shows the correct sizecord to use based on cord length and motorplate amp rating. If in doubt, use the nextheavier gauge. The smaller the gauge numberthe heavier the cord.Figure 1Figure 2Recommended Gauges (AWG) of Extension CordsExtension Cord Length *Amps 25feet50feet75feet100feet150feet200feet< 5 16 16 16 14 12 125 to 8 16 16 14 12 10 NR8 to 12 14 14 12 10 NR NR12 to 15 12 12 10 10 NR NR15 to 20 10 10 10 NR NR NR21 to 30 10 NR NR NR NR NR*based on limiting the line voltage drop to 5V at 150% of therated amperes.NR: Not Recommended.Figure 3
