6Workpiece handling:Support long workpieces with helpingroller stands.During cutting operation theworkpiece must be locked against thefence with the workpiece clamp.Do not perform any operationfreehand.Operating hints:Always observe the safetyinstructions and adhere to thecurrent regulations.Ensure that the saw blade protectivecover is in the correct position beforeyou start sawing.The mitre saw is switched on bymeans of the trigger button that issituated on the inside of the handgrip(M, Fig 2).The cutting blade must first reach themaximum rpm before cutting maybegin.Slide the unlock button (A, Fig 1) tothe side and by using the handgrip,push the cutting head slowly andevenly downwards.The cutting head must be returnedcarefully to its starting position aftercutting.Attention:The condition of the blade should bechecked before each machiningprocess.Work only with a sharp and flawlesssawblade.Select saw blade in relation tomaterial to be cut.Use a suitable wedge to preventround timber from turning under thepressure of the cutTake care when slotting.Laser Beam:The laser beam allows you toprecisely line up your workpiece.The laser beam can be switched onand off as required (S, Fig 13).Attention:Class 2 Laser ProductDo not stare into beam of laser.Do not point the laser beam at peopleor animals.Do not use the laser beam on highlyreflective materials. Reflected light isdangerous.Cutting profiles:Profiles can be cut.They should be cut in such a way thatthe blade is cutting through thesmallest possible cross section first(Fig 5).Fig 5This operation is potentiallydangerous (Fig 6).Fig 6Cutting wrapped material:Wrapped or bowed material shouldbe positioned so that the workpiece issupported near the cutting point bythe workpiece fence (Fig 7).Fig 7This operation is potentiallydangerous (Fig 8).Fig 8Bevel cutting:Bevel angle can be adjusted between0° and 45°.Fig 9The locking knob (C, Fig 9) on therear of the machine must be loosenedfor bevel setting.Tilt the cutting head to the left untilthe desired angle on the scale (B)has been reached.Retighten the cutting head lock knob(C) before machine operation.Mitre cutting:The mitre angle can be adjustedbetween -46° and +46°.The 2 table locking knobs behind thefence must be loosened.Rotate the cutting head until thedesired angle on the table scale hasbeen reached.Retighten the table locking knobsbefore machine operation.Mitre bevel cutting:Select the correct bevel and mitreangles.7. Setup and adjustmentsGeneral note:Setup and adjustment work mayonly be carried out after themachine is protected againstaccidental starting by pulling themains plug.
