Fig 4Use the clamping pieces (A) to lockthe table extensions (C) in place.Mounting the dust bag.Use the dust bag (K, Fig 1) to collectthe dust emissions. You can slide thedust bag onto the dust port on therear of the machine. The dust port is also suitable for theconnecting to a dust collector.Unlocking the cutting head. The mitre saw is supplied with thecutting head in locked position. Thecutting head lock button (D, Fig 2)can be pulled out by pushing thecutting head down at the same time.Allow the cutting head to slowly rise. The cutting head should be relockedfor transportation.5.3 Mains connectionMains connection and any extensioncords used must comply withapplicable regulations. The mains voltage and frequencymust comply with the information onthe machine licence plate. The mains connection must have a10A surge-proof fuse.Only use power cords markedH05VV-FConnections and repairs to theelectrical equipment may only becarried out by qualified electricians.5.4 Starting operationYou can start the machine bypressing the trigger (B, Fig 1) on thehandle with your fingers. To stop the saw release the trigger.6. Machine operationCorrect working position:In front of the machine standing in thedirection of cutting (Fig 5)Fig 5Keep your face and body to one sideof the blade, out of line with apossible debris throwback.Never cross your arms or place yourhands near the cutting area.Don’t overreach; keep good footingand balance.Do not cut short workpieces. You cannot properly hold a shortworkpiece.Workpiece handling:Support long workpieces with helpingroller stands.During cutting operation theworkpiece must be locked down tothe table with the workpiece clamp.Do not perform any operationfreehand.Operating hints:Always observe the safetyinstructions and adhere to thecurrent regulations.Set up mitre and bevel cut as desired.Plug in (connect to mains).Ensure that the saw blade protectivecover is in the correct position beforeyou start sawing. The mitre saw is switched on bymeans of the trigger button that issituated on the inside of the handgrip(B, Fig 1).The cutting blade must first reach themaximum rpm before cutting maybegin.Cutting without slide:(slide locked)Slide the unlock button (P, Fig 2) tothe side and by using the handgrip, push the cutting head slowly andevenly downwards. The cutting head must be returnedcarefully to its starting position aftercutting.Cutting with slide:For cutting wider stock slide action isnecessary.Loosen slide lock knob (L, Fig 1).Pull the motor head towards you.Slide the unlock button (P, Fig 2) tothe side and by using the handgrip, push the cutting head slowly andevenly downwards.Push the motor head forward in aslow steady motion to complete thecut.Release trigger to stop the motor. The cutting head must be returnedcarefully to its starting position aftercutting.Attention:The condition of the blade should bechecked before each machiningprocess.Work only with a sharp and flawlesssawblade.Use the workpiece clamp (E, Fig 1).Use a suitable fixture to preventround and irregular shaped timberfrom turning under the pressure of thecut.Cutting wrapped material:Wrapped or bowed material shouldbe positioned so that the workpiece issupported near the cutting point bythe workpiece fence (Fig 6).Fig 6This operation is potentiallydangerous (Fig 7).
