15Blade Alignment• Tools: 8mm hex wrench, combination square, markerBlade alignment with the table is adjusted at thefactory. After a period of use, or, after moving thesaw to another location, the blade may no longerbe aligned with the table. To check and align the blade (refer to Figure 16):1. Disconnect the saw from the power source.2. Raise the blade guard up a way from the blade.3. Choose a tooth on the far side of the blade(towards the rear) and position the toothslightly above the table insert. Mark the toothwith a marker. Measure the distance from theside of the blade to the right T-slot edge usinga combination square. Make sure to measurebetween the teeth not on the tooth (Figure 16).4. Rotate the blade toward the front so that themarked tooth is just above the insert. Measurethe distance from the side of the blade to theright T-slot edge. The two measurementsshould be the same.5. If they are not the same, loosen four hexsocket cap screws (A, Fig. 17) that hold thetable to the base. Two are shown in Figure 17.6. Make the needed adjustments and tighten thefour hex socket cap screws firmly.7. Check the alignment once again aftertightening hardware.Adjusting 45° and 90° Positive StopsThe stops have been adjusted at the factory. Aftera period of use, or, after moving the saw to anotherlocation, the stops may no longer be set properly. To check and adjust the stops:• Tools: 12mm wrench, combination square1. Disconnect saw from power source.2. Raise the saw blade to its maximum heightusing the handwheel.3. Set the blade at 90 degrees to the table byturning the blade tilting handwheel clockwiseas far as it will go.4. Place a combination square on the tableagainst the blade and check to see that theblade is at a 90° angle to the table, Figure 18.Make sure square is not touching a bladetooth.Figure 16Figure 17Figure 18
