12 EnglishÎ 1: Disconnect all water connections.Î 2: Turn on the machine for a few seconds, un-til the water which had remained in the pumpexits, turn off immediately.Î 3: Do not allow high pressure hose to becomekinked.Î 4: Store the machine and accessories in aroom which does not reach freezing tempera-tures. DO NOT store near furnace or othersources of heat as it may dry out the pumpseals. CAUTIONFailure to follow the above directions will result indamage to the pump assembly and accessoriesand will void the warranty.Kärcher® also recommends the regular practice ofusing a pump protector like “Kärcher ® PumpGuard” to prevent cold weather damage duringstorage in the winter months.All Kärcher pumps ship with oil already inside di-rect from the factory. There is no need to add oil.You should routinely make a visual inspection ofthe pressure washer’s pump. If you notice oil leak-ing around the pump seals, you should take thepressure washer to a Kärcher-Authorized ServiceCenter for repair. (You can locate a service centerin your area online at www.karcherresiden-tial.com)The pump on your Kärcher pressure washer doesnot require maintenance. Any attempts to serviceor alter the pump may damage your pressurewasher and void your product warranty.Carry out maintenance tasks for the engine ac-cording to the specifications provided in the oper-ating instructions provided by enginemanufacturer.(with or without detergent). Pre-rinse deck andsurrounding area with fresh water. If using deter-gent, apply to surface at low pressure. For best re-sults, limit your work area to smaller sections ofapproximately 25 square feet. Allow detergent toremain on surface 1-3 minutes. Do not allow de-tergent to dry on surface. Rinse at high pressurein a long sweeping motion keeping the spray noz-zle approximately 3-6 inches from the cleaningsurface. Always clean from top to bottom and fromleft to right. When moving on to a new section ofthe cleaning surface, be sure to overlap the previ-ous section to eliminate stop marks and ensure amore even cleaning result. CAUTIONDo not use Dirtblaster spray nozzle on woodsurface as it may cause damage.(with or without detergent). Pre-rinse cleaningsurface with fresh water. If using detergent, applyto surface at low pressure (for best results, limityour work area to sections of approximately 6 feetand always apply detergent from bottom to top).Allow detergent to remain on surface 1-3 minutes.Do not allow detergent to dry on surface, if surfaceappears to be drying, simply wet down surfacewith fresh water. If needed, use special washbrush attachment (not included) to remove stub-born dirt. Rinse at high pressure from top to bot-tom in an even sweeping motion keeping thespray nozzle approximately 6 inches from thecleaning surface.
