English 15 DangerLong hours of using the appliance cancause circulation problems in the hands onaccount of vibrations.It is not possible to specify a generally validoperation time, since this depends on sev-eral factors:– Proneness to blood circulation deficien-cies (cold, numb fingers).– Low ambient temperature. Wear warmgloves to protect hands.– A firm grip impedes blood circulation.– Continuous operation is worse than anoperation interrupted by pauses.In case of regular, long-term operation ofthe device and in case of repeated occur-rence of the symptoms (e.g. cold, numb fin-gers) please consult a physician. DangerIf the appliance is used in hazardous areas(e.g. filling stations) the correspondingsafety provisions must be observed. WarningClean engines only at places with corre-sponding oil separators (environmentalsafety).Wash animals only with a flat low pressurejet (see "Select spray type").NoteThe appliance is equipped with a pressureswitch. The motor starts up only when thelever of the pistol is pulled.Î Set the appliance switch to "I".Î Unlock the hand-spray gun and pull thelever of the gun.Î Set working pressure and water quanti-ty by turning (rungless) at the pressureand quantity regulation (option) (+/-). WarningUnsuitable detergents can cause damageto the appliance and to the object to becleaned. Use only those detergents thathave been approved by Kärcher. Observethe dosage and other instructions providedwith these detergents. For consideratetreatment of the environment use detergenteconomically.Kärcher detergents ensure smooth func-tioning. Please consult us or ask for ourcatalogue or our detergent informationsheets.Î Replace the high-pressure nozzle withthe included low-pressure nozzle(brass).Î Set the detergent dosing valve on thedetergent suctions filter to the desiredconcentration.Î Suspend end of suction hose in a con-tainer filled with detergent.Î Spray the detergent sparingly on thedry surface and allow it to react, but notto dry.Î Spray off loosened dirt with the high-pressure ray.Î After operations, dip the filter in clearwater. Turn the dosing valve to thehighest detergent concentration. Startthe appliance and rinse for one minute.Î Release the lever of the hand-spraygun; the device will switch off.Î Release again the lever of the hand-spray gun; the device will switch onagain.Î Set the appliance switch to "0".Î Disconnect the mains plug from thesocket.Î Shut off water supply.OperationHigh pressure operationOperation with detergentRecommended cleaning methodInterrupting operationTurn off the appliance. |
