– 5 DangerNever suck in water from a drinking watercontainer.When fitted with the appropriate accesso-ries, this high-pressure cleaner can draw insurface water, e.g. from water butts orponds (max. suction height 0.5 m). DangerNever draw in fluids containing solvents orundiluted acids and solvents! This includespetrol, paint thinner and heating oil. Thespray mist thus generated is highly inflam-mable, explosive and poisonous. Do notuse acetone, undiluted acids and solventsas they are aggressive towards the materi-als from which the appliance is made. The standard water connection is not suita-ble for sucking in water; hence use Kärchersuction hose (minimum diameter approx. 1inch) with filter (accessory). Open the water supply. Unscrew the nozzle. Press the lever on the hand spray gun. Switch on the appliance and let it rununtil the water exiting from the spraypipe is bubble-free. Switch off the appliance and fit the noz-zle again. Danger– Risk of injury! Never use the appliancewithout the spray lance attached.Check and ensure proper fitting of thespray lance prior to each use. Thescrew connection of the spray lancemust be fingertight.– If the appliance is used in hazardous ar-eas (e.g. filling stations) the corre-sponding safety provisions must beobserved.– Place the appliance on firm, even sur-face.CautionClean engines only at places with corre-sponding oil separators (environmentalsafety).
