Theharmful elements may causeproperty damage or severeinjury.STEP 1: Use detergent designedspecifically for pressure washers.Household detergents could dam-age the pump. Prepare detergentsolution as required by the manu-facturer. Fill a container with pres-sure washer detergent. Place thefilter end of detergent suction tubeinto the detergent container.STEP 2: Apply safety latchto spray gun trigger. Secureblack detergent nozzle intoquick coupler. NOTE: Deter-gent cannot be applied usingthe Yellow nozzle.STEP 3: With the motor run-ning, pull trigger to operatemachine. Liquid detergent isdrawn into the machine and mixed with water. Applydetergent to work area. Do not allow detergent to dryon surface.IMPORTANT:You must flush the detergent injectionsystem after each use by placing the suction tubeinto a bucket of clean water, then run the pressurewasher in low pressure for 1-2 minutes.THERMAL PUMP PROTECTIONIf you run your pressure washer for 2 minutes withoutpressing the trigger on the spray gun, circulating waterin the pump can reach high temperatures. When thewater reaches this temperature, the pump protectorengages and cools the pump by discharging the warmwater onto the ground. This thermal device preventsinternal damage to the pump.CLEANING TIPSPre-rinse cleaning surface with fresh water. Placedetergent suction tube directly into cleaning solutionand apply to surface at low pressure (for best results, limit your work area to sections approximately 6’ squareand always apply detergent from bottom to top). Allowdetergent to remain on surface 1- minutes. Do notallow detergent to dry on surface. If surface appearsto be drying, simply wet down surface with fresh water. If needed, use brush to remove stubborn dirt. Rinse athigh pressure from top to bottom in an even sweepingmotion keeping the spray nozzle approximately 1’ fromcleaning surface. Use overlapping strokes as you cleanand rinse any surface. For best surface cleaning actionspray at a slight angle.Recommendations:• Before cleaning any surface, an inconspicuousarea should be cleaned to test spray pattern anddistance for maximum cleaning results.• If painted surfaces are peeling or chipping, use extreme caution as pressure washer mayremove the loose paint from the surface.• Keep the spray nozzle a safe distance from thesurface you plan to clean. High pressure washa small area, then check the surface for dam-age. If no damage is found, continue to pressurewashing.CAUTION - Never use:• Bleach, chlorine or other corrosive chemicals• Liquids containing solvents (i.e., paint thinner, gasoline, oils)• Tri-sodium phosphate products• Ammonia products• Acid-based productsThese chemicals will harm the machine and will dam-age the surface being cleaned.RINSINGIt will take a few seconds for the detergent to clear.Apply safety latch to spray gun. Remove black soapnozzle from the quick coupler. Select and install thedesired high pressure nozzle. NOTE: You can also stopdetergent from flowing by simply removing detergentsiphon tube from bottle.WARNINGDETERGENTS AND GENERAL OPERATING TECHNIqUES
