No grounding means isprovided on a double-insulated product,nor should a means for grounding beadded to the product. Servicing a dou-ble-insulated product requires extremecare and knowledge of the system, andshould be done only by qualified servicepersonnel. Replacement parts for a dou-ble-insulated product must be identicalto the parts they replace. A doubleinsu-lated product is marked with the words“DOUBLE INSULATION” or “DOUBLEINSULATED”. The symbol “ ” may alsobe marked on the product.This pressure washer is provided with aground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI)built into the plug of the power-supplycord. This device provides additionalprotection from the risk of electric shock.Should replacement of the plug or cordbecome necessary, use only identicalreplacement parts that include GFCIprotection. CAUTIONWhen connecting the water inlet to thewater supply mains, local regulations ofyour water company must be observed.In some areas the unit must not be con-nected directly to the public drinking wa-ter supply. This is to ensure that there isno feedback of chemicals into the watersupply. Direct connection via a receivertank or backflow preventer, for example,is permitted.Dirt in the feed water will damage theunit. To avoid this risk, we recommendfitting a water filter. Garden hose must be at least 13 mmor 16 mm (1/2 inch or 5/8) inch in di-ameter. Flow rate of water supply must notfall below 7.6 L/min. (2 GPM/gallonsper minute). Flow rate can be determined by run-ning the water for one minute into anempty 20 litre (5-gallon) container. The water supply temperature mustnot exceed 40°C/104°F. Never use the pressure washer todraw in water contaminated with sol-vents, e.g. paint thinners, gasoline,oil, etc. Always prevent debris from beingdrawn into the unit by using a cleanwater source.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!SERVICING OF A DOUBLE-INSULATED PRODUCTGROUND FAULT CIRCUITINTERRUPTER PROTECTIONWATER SUPPLY(Cold Water Only)
