Checkthe secure connection by pulling on thehigh-pressure hose.According to the applicable regula-tions, the appliance must never beused on the drinking water supplywithout a system separator. Use asuitable system separator manufactured byKÄRCHER; or, as an alternative, a systemseparator as per EN 12729 Type BA. Waterflowing through a system separator is con-sidered non-drinkable.CautionAlways connect the system separator to thewater supply, never directly to the appliance!Note: Impurities in the water can damagethe high-pressure pump and accessories.For protection, the use of the KÄRCHERwater filter (optional accessory, order no.4.730-059) is recommended.Observe regulations of water supplier.For connection values, see type plate/tech-nical data. Use a fibre-reinforced water hose (notincluded) with a standard coupling.(Minimum diameter 1/2 inch (13 mm),minimum length 7.5 m). Screw the supplied coupling element tothe water connection on the appliance. Push the water supply hose onto thecoupling unit, then connect it to the wa-ter supply.CautionDry runs lasting longer than two minuteslead to damages to the high pressurepump. If the appliance does not build uppressure within two minutes, switch it offand proceed as instructed in the Chapter"Troubleshooting". Connect the high pressure hose to thehigh pressure connection of the appli-ance. Push the spray lance into the triggergun and fasten it by turning it through90°. Completely open the water tap. Insert the mains plug into the socket. Turn on the appliance “I/ON”. DangerThe trigger gun is subjected to a recoil forcewhen the water jet is discharged. Makesure that you have a firm footing and arealso holding the trigger gun and spray lancefirmly. Unlock the lever on the trigger gun. Pull on the lever of the trigger gun; thedevice will switch on.Note: Release the lever of the trigger gun;the device will switch off again.
