8 English Risk of electric shockAlways switch off the appliance and pull outthe mains plug before care and mainte-nance work.Prior to longer periods of storage, e.g. inthe winter:Î Remove filter from suction hose for de-tergent and clean with running water.Î Pull out filter in water connection usingflat-nose pliers and clean with runningwater.The appliance is maintenance-free. Risk of frostProtect the appliance and accessoriesagainst frost.The appliance and its accessories can getdestroyed through frost if there are any wa-ter residues in them. To avoid damage tothem:Î Store the appliance and the entire ac-cessories in a frost-safe room.Only use original Kärcher spare parts. Youwill find a list of spare parts at the end of thisdocument.You can rectify minor faults yourself withthe help of the following overview.If in doubt, please consult the authorizedcustomer service. WarningRepair works may only be performed by theauthorized customer service.Appliance does not startÎ Check whether the voltage indicated onthe type plate corresponds to the volt-age of the socket.Î Check the power cable for damage.Pressure does not build up in the appli-anceÎ Evacuate air from the appliance: Switchon the appliance when the HP hose isnot connected and allow it to run untilthe water which discharges from the HPoutlet is free of bubbles. Then connectthe HP hose again.Î Clean the filter in the water supply con-nection: This can be easily removed us-ing flat-nose pliers.Î Check all supply lines to the HP pumpfor leaks or blockages.Î Check EPC setting at the hand spraygun.Strong pressure fluctuationsÎ Clean the high-pressure nozzle: Re-move dirt and debris from the nozzlebore with a needle and rinse throughwith water towards the front.Î Check the volume of incoming water.HP pump leakingÎ Slight leakage from the HP pump is nor-mal.
