Do not add fuel with theengine running. Do not operate if fuel hasbeen spilled. Instead move the machine toa different location and avoid creatingsparks.• Operate and fuel machine in a well venti-lated area, free of devices featuring anopen pilot or flame such as boilers, waterheaters, etc.• High pressure jets can be dangerousif subject to misuse. The jet must notbe directed at persons, animals, electricaldevices or the machine itself.• Wear safety goggles.• Do not use acids, solvents, or any otherflammable material in this product. Theseproducts can cause physical injuries tothe operator and irreversible damage tothe machine. If you have further questionsregarding the use of recommendedcleaning detergent, please call Kärchercustomer service at 800-537-4129.• The machine has hot surfaces which cancause burns. Operate the unit in a safeenvironment and away from children.• Do not allow the high pressure hose tocome into contact with the muffler guard.• Do not leave the machine runningunattended.• Learn how to stop the machine andrelease pressure quickly. Be thoroughlyfamiliar with the controls.• Stay alert — watch what you are doing.• Do not operate the product when fatiguedor under the influence of alcohol or drugs.• Do not stand on unstable surfaces. Standwith both feet balanced at all times.• The Gun Safety Lock PREVENTS thetrigger from accidentally being engaged.This safety feature DOES NOT lock triggerin the on position.Water Supply(Cold Water Only)• Water hose must be at least 3/4 inch indiameter.• Flow rate of water supply must not fallbelow 2.5 GPM (gallons per minute).• Flow rate can be determined by runningthe water for one minute into an empty5-gallon container.• The water supply temperature must notexceed 104°F/40°C.• Never use the pressure washer to draw inwater contaminated with solvents, e.g.paint thinners, gasoline, oil, etc.• Always prevent debris from being drawninto the unit by using a clean watersource.We strongly recommend that this highpressure washer not be left running forperiods of 5 minutes or longer without thetrigger gun being engaged.This Kärcher high pressure washer isequipped with thermal protection to extendthe life of your pressure washer. The thermalprotector will automatically activate at apredetermined temperature ejecting hotwater before resetting. This ensures thatthe pump does not become damaged.Caution• Follow the maintenance instructionsspecified in the manual.• This machine has been designed foruse with cleaning detergent suppliedor recommended by the manufacturer.The use of other cleaning detergentsmay affect the operation of themachine and void the warranty.
