Safety WarningsWhen using this product basic precautionsshould always be followed:• Read all the instructions before usingthe product.• High pressure jets can be dangerousif subject to misuse. The jet must notbe directed at persons, animals, electricaldevices, or the machine itself.• To reduce the risk of injury, do notoperate the machine near children.• Learn how to stop the machine andrelease pressure quickly. Be thoroughlyfamiliar with the controls.• Stay alert — watch what you aredoing.• Wear safety goggles.• Do not use acids, solvents, or any otherflammable material in this product. Theseproducts can cause physical injuries tothe operator and irreversible damage tothe machine. Do not touch plug with wethands.• The Gun Safety Lock PREVENTSthe trigger from accidentally beingengaged. This safety feature DOES NOTlock trigger in the on position.Extension CordsUse a sufficient gauge: Up to 25 ft = 12/2AWG; 25 to 50 ft = 10/2 AWG. Use onlyextension cords that are intended for out-door use. These extension cords are identi-fied by the marking “Acceptable for use withoutdoor appliances; store indoors while notin use.” Use only extension cords having anelectrical rating not less than the rating ofthe product. Do not use damaged extensioncords. Examine extension cord before usingand replace if damaged. Do not abuseextension cord and do not yank on any cordto disconnect. Keep cord away from heatand sharp edges. Always disconnect theextension cord from the receptacle beforedisconnecting the product from the exten-sion cord. If you are using an extensioncord, it should always be completelyunwound from the cable drum.Ground Fault Circuit InterrupterProtectionThis unit is supplied with a portable GFCI,UL indicates that the power cord has beeninvestigated for compliance with the applica-ble provisions of UL 943, Third Edition(Standard for Ground Fault CircuitInterrupters) and other applicable standards.If power is interrupted in the line, the auto-matic GFCI will automatically reclose thecircuit to the load after power is restored.Depending on the GFCI model, it maybenecessary to manually operate the resetbutton to restore power to the GFCI loadcircuit.TEST - Plug the GFCI cord into a poweredoutlet. Push the TEST button and attempt toturn the unit on. This should result in themachine not running. If the GFCI tests okay,restore power by pushing the RESETbutton.This Product IsDouble InsulatedIn a double-insulated product, two systemsof insulation are provided instead of ground-ing. No grounding method is provided on adouble-insulated product, nor should amethod for grounding be added to the prod-uct. Servicing a double-insulated productrequires extreme care and knowledge of thesystem, and should be done only by quali-fied service personnel. Replacement partsfor a double-insulated product must be iden-tical to the parts they replace.
