If itshould malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resis-tance for electric current to reduce therisk of electric shock. This product isequipped with a cord having an equip-ment-grounding conductor and agrounding plug. The plug must beplugged into an appropriate outlet that isproperly installed and grounded in ac-cordance with all local codes and ordi-nances. DANGERImproper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a riskof electrocution. Check with a qualifiedelectrician or service personnel if youare in doubt as to whether the outlet isproperly grounded. Do not modify theplug provided with the product - if it willnot fit the outlet, have a proper outlet in-stalled by a qualified electrician. Do notuse any type of adapter with this prod-uct.This pressure washer is provided with aground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI)built into the plug of the power-supplycord. This device provides additionalprotection from the risk of electric shock.Should replacement of the plug or cordbecome necessary, use only identicalreplacement parts that include GFCIprotection. CAUTIONWhen connecting the water inlet to thewater supply mains, local regulations ofyour water company must be observed. In some areas the unit must not be con-nected directly to the public drinking wa-ter supply. This is to ensure that there isno feedback of chemicals into the watersupply. Direct connection via a receivertank or backflow preventer, for example,is permitted.Dirt in the feed water will damage theunit. To avoid this risk, we recommendfitting a water filter. Garden hose must be at least 1/2inch or 5/8 inch in diameter. Flow rate of water supply must notfall below 2 GPM (gallons per min-ute). Flow rate can be determined by run-ning the water for one minute into anempty 5-gallon container. The water supply temperature mustnot exceed 104°F/40°C. Never use the pressure washer todraw in water contaminated with sol-vents, e.g. paint thinners, gasoline, oil, etc. Always prevent debris from beingdrawn into the unit by using a cleanwater source.GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONSGROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTER-RUPTER PROTECTIONWATER SUPPLY(Cold Water Only)
