Operating instructions KM 100/100 R D English33Check and top up thehydraulic oil levelNote:The sweeper is provided with twohydraulic circuits:1. Sweeping hydraulics circuit! Check of fill level in the storagereservoir! Open unit cover, engage stay barThe oil level must be between the"MIN" and "MAX" marks.! Open the cap to refill! Fill in hydraulic oil! Close reservoirFor oil grade see: Technical data2. Axle drive circuit! Check of fill level incompensating reservoirWarning!This check may be performed onlywhen the engine is cold.! Open unit cover, engage stay bar! Remove the reservoir cap— In the reservoir its bottom mayjust be covered with oil! If necessary, carefully replenishwith oil! Close reservoirFor oil grade see: Technical dataChecking the vacuumsystem— Adding a sweeping system iswith the aid of a vacuum system.Note:Always first add the main brush,since otherwise the side brush doesnot rotatet.— The vacuum canister for loweringthe side brush is to be checkedfor leaks and proper connectionof the hose if the side brushcannot be lowered; attach thehose, if necessary.Hose connection to vacuum canisterof side brush lowering— The vacuum system is leaking ifthe side brush can still not belowered. In this case after-salesservice must be contacted.Check the side brush! Raise the side broom! Drive sweeper over a flat, smoothsurface covered with a clear layerof dust! Lower side brush and start up! Raise the side broom! Drive aside backwards! Check the sweep mirrorWidth of sweeping range should bebetween 40 - 50 mmNote:— The sweeping pattern isautomatically adjusted to wear ofthe brushes due to the floatingsuspension of the side brush.— Replace the side brush when thebristles are too worn.Replacing side brush! Unscrew fastening screws(3 pieces) at the underside! Slip side brush on carrier andscrew it tightCheck the sweep roller! Stand sweeper on a flat surface! Raise the sweep roller! Turn ignition key to "0" andremove it! Secure the machine againstrolling away using a wedge! Remove the debris containerfrom both sides of the unit! Remove tapes and string fromthe sweep roller
